Authentic attunement allows therapists access to those magical moments when we know ‘this is what I’m meant to do!’ Attunement also demands that we walk with clients into the dark places they may be scared so go. Clients’ behaviors can activate our own intensely human longings and can trigger therapists' own reactivity. Even the most centered among us can get thrown off track in our emotional hot spots.

- Recognize and cultivate compassion for the moments of overwhelm or dysregulation in session.
- Gain better understanding of our own patterns of responding in these difficult moments.
- Discover ways to re-attune to clients in the face of their own dysregulation or distancing.
